I am a self-employed carpenter with 40 years experience, specializing in small jobs. I work directly with my clients to help them visualize and receive the improvements that they wish to make. These pages share a few photos of carpentry I’ve done as well as other carpentry-related information. I usually work by myself and offer small interior and exterior renovations and repairs, decks, replacement windows, cabinetry, renovations and other carpentry jobs in Ipswich, MA and the immediate surrounding towns.
Rates: I work at an hourly rate ($60 /hr). 10 % is added to the costs of materials I purchase. I can provide you with a “not to exceed” contract price.
My shop: In my shop I make shelving and cabinetry, and prepare materials for installation, often reducing the need to set up tools in and around the work site.
Availability: Summer and fall are when I’m the busiest. Cabinetry and small interior renovations are an excellent winter choice. I’m meticulous about keeping a neat work space, and use tarps, HEPA vac and other means to keep dust from spreading throughout your home. See my page about the new lead paint law for working on houses built before 1978.
