For this custom office in the spring of 2017, I constructed the shelves and desktop, which I stained and urethaned to match the file cabinets that I purchased online. This was the second office I built for this client. Seven years earlier at their previous residence, I build a compact office in the area near the foot of the stairs, with similar components. The shelves and frames are pine, and the desktop is birch plywood. The cabinets under the desk (not visible in the photo) are Belham Living Cambridge Lateral Filing Cabinets
The “window seat” is on a wall facing the window, but as you can see in the second photo, it’s really a doggie seat. It rests on three single file cabinets, which I altered from Belham Living Cambridge 2-Drawer Wood File Cabinets.
